It had been almost a year and a half since I last played a round of golf prior to my attempt this past Sunday. A right shoulder injury that included damage to muscles, tendons, and bone kept me on the sidelines. And there was much discussion among the rest of the GolfTards whether I would ever play again. But after some minor range practice the previous week I gave it a go.

We like to walk when we golf for two reasons. First, walking is generally cheaper and we're cheap kind of guys. Second, and don't quote us on this because we'll deny it, it's good exercise. If you're interested in finding out some of the benefits of walking while playing golf, besides allowing you to spend your precious money on beer instead of cart fees, take a look at the goofy website we found.

Ever wanted to combine your love of golf with your love of Playboy bunnies? The Playboy Girls of Golf put together a tournament that likely featured cute Playboy girls not quite up to par with what you’d expect to see in the magazine, and overpriced entry fees. It was probably fun for some guys out there, but this Fox Sports video actually doesn’t make it seem very fun. You judge.

As you know, we love silly golf gadgets that are a complete waste of money. The sillier, the better. It makes us laugh that some goofy guy in his garage can come up with a wacky idea that other people think is just brilliant and he can make some money from it. But every once in a while a gadget comes along that makes us go “WTF?!?!” The UroClub is a prime example of that.

After 25 years of tolerable, if not quite blissful, marriage, Tib and his wife decided to see a marriage counselor. His wife felt she was being neglected as a golf-widow and Tib figured if he did this it would be one less thing to be nagged about. So Tib reluctantly drove his wife to the counselor’s office, feeling he was doing her a huge favor since he noted it was rather nice golf weather.

Tib doesn't like to dwell in the past, so he's not interested in comparing where his swing is today versus the past. So we'll simply act like this is his first swing review and compare his positions with The Pro's. Tib's primary current swing thoughts are to keep the club head low during the take-away and to keep his head still all the way from the initial setup position to impact.

I have an inspirational story to share with you. Recently, a friend asked me if I’d like to play in a golf tournament. At first I said, “Naaahhh! I already play once a week.” Plus the entry fee was kind of steep and my 30+ handicap is too high earn any of the prizes. So my friend said “Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids.”

Yes, this review is a bit late, but as my excuse I can say that I have golfed nearly every weekend since late March. Anyway, one of my best friends from my high school and college years, who was also the best man at my wedding, got married this past June near our hometown. Naturally, I had to attend, but wondered how I would spend the other four days I would be home.
